Candidate for
City Council; City of Half Moon Bay

I was born and raised in Iowa. I earned a Bachelors of Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.

After college, I moved to San Francisco. My first real job was as a Green Energy Consultant for the North Bay Group. Our clients included PG&E, Southern California Edison, Nevada Power and Light, San Diego Gas and Electric, and Ontario Hydro and Power.

I then switched over to the financial world. I became IT Director for a series of railcar leasing companies. The nineties were a wild ride for Investment and Banking companies. I couldn't seem to hold a job, not for personal reasons but because these firms kept gobbling each other up. At one time, my private firm produced the state of the art, database driven website in the industry where analysts could produce live reports years before Google was born.

There came a time where I wanted to own my own business. I currently run a 100% certified organic, fair trade coffee roasting company. It's satisfying in so many ways to make positive contributions to not only our community, but to some of the poorest people on earth.
