I am running for the HMB city council because all too many decisions that have been made by the current council over the past 4 years have been atrocious. They lost a lawsuit they shouldn't have lost, they failed to appeal against the considered advice of important state agencies as well as their own attorney, and then entered into a fill-an-inside-straight settlement that put an onerous burden on state legislators to pass an unprecedented anti-environmental bill (AB1991) or else the city would have to pay $18 million for the disputed property. Well, the legislature wasn't fooled and since then this council has ricocheted from bad decision to bad decision until we are now the owners of the property at the cost of the jobs of 19 city workers and the services they provided.
