Uninterrupted Water Supply

By Marcia Ann Cohn-Lyle

Candidate for City Council member; City of Foster City

This information is provided by the candidate
An uninterrupted water supply protects the safety of the citizens of Foster City in case disaster strikes.
An uninterrupted fresh-water supply can be obtained by joining forces with San Mateo at a Third Ave. site located next to the waste-water plant. Desalination, a proven, cost-effective technology used to remove salt from saltwater, can use the local bay water we are surrounded by rather than the Hetch-Hetchy water supply that is currently piped in. Disaster could affect this critical supply and leave those of us on the ISLAND of Foster City high and dry.
