NJ, 1969; B.S., early childhood education, Seton Hall University, NJ;
founder and CEO, The Registry Companies, first national child care
provider pre-employment screening service, 1992-present; one of the
first women to hold a seat on the New York Stock Exchange (1977-79);
Wall Street trader and investment banker, 1979-88; author of The Child
Care Source Book; created the Tauscher Foundation, which has provided
$150,000 to California and Texas elementary schools for purchase of
computer equipment; member: NARAL, CARAL, Planned Parenthood, Seton Hall
University Board of Regents; endorsed by Emily's List; co-chair, Dianne
Feinstein's 1992, and 1994, U.S. Senatorial campaigns; married William
Y. Tauscher in 1989; one child: Katherine; committees: Armed Services;
