Fiscal responsibility is not just a phrase. It ensures that our City will be safe now and in the long term. To maintain our high quality police and fire protection, parks and library systems, we need to continue to cover our long-term liabilities and spend within our means, because these important general services are the first to suffer as a result of deficit spending. This May our Council will begin its work on the budget for Fiscal year 2014-15, and I will ensure it is balanced and meets our community's needs this coming year, and maintains the foundation necessary that Roseville will be fiscally strong in future years. |
