Public Safety and Infrastructure are Job # 1

By Susan Brooks

Candidate for Member, City Council; City of Rancho Palos Verdes

This information is provided by the candidate
The two main reasons for having a City are to offer quality public safety and address vital infrastructure needs.
Public Safety

Susan Brooks knows that police, fire, and paramedic services must remain the city's top budget priority. With high profile crimes hitting the Peninsula, we cannot ignore that the safety of local families must be our top issue at City Hall. Susan supports maintaining our levels of staffing from the Sheriff's Department and County Fire Department and expanding those services when budgets permit.

Long Term Infrastructure Investment

Given the unique topography of the Peninsula, the city needs to be investing in long term infrastructure improvements like storm drains and other runoff related issues. Our landslides are still on the move and our roads are not getting any better. Rather than fancy regional parks or visitor centers, our tax dollars should be spent on "bread and butter" public improvement that will benefit RPV residents first.
