After years of crisis management, Palm Drive Hospital has finally reached some stability in operations and finance. The hospital, however, is still very fragileThe history of Palm Drive as a District Hospital has been a challenging one for a variety of reasons. This past year, however, with a Board willing to work in a respectful and collegial fashion, a capable management team, an incredible staff,and an exit from 3 years of bankruptcy, the stage was finally set for some remarkable accomplishments, the kind our community deserves. And we, together, accomplished some remarkable things. Palm Drive's quality of care is verified by the highest patient satisfaction ratings in Sonoma County compared to our larger, neighboring hospitals. An innovative telemedicine program is tying together and serving 7 rural hospitals on the North Coast. And, just this year Palm Drive has been certified as the second Primary Stroke Center in Sonoma County. We have just moved our excellent Hand and Physical Therapy Center to a new facility and are underway to do the same with Palm Drive Medical Center. The current board has proven that we can and are getting things done! Working together,we will continue to move the hospital into an even more stable position |
