My in depth experience in workforce development and education advocacy provides me with the needed expertise and skills to empower our children, families and community while serving on the Folsom Cordova School Board.

My professional experience includes advocating for education and workforce development on the local, state and federal levels through call-in and letter writing campaigns, the coordination of rallies and other actions, legislative visits and more. I have also coordinated "Cash for College" workshops which provide high school and college students assistance with their financial aid forms and promoted training programs for students interested in construction trade careers, among other activities.

I grew up attending district schools and as the son of a retired school teacher and principal, the value of a high quality education was taught to me at an early age. Whether it was encouraging my participation in a Cordova Gardens Elementary science fair, struggling with me through algebra at Mills Jr. High, or requiring certain grades at Cordova High before allowing me to get my driver's license, my parents taught me the values I will pass onto my children.

Following graduation from Cordova High, I worked my way through college and received a Bachelor of Science degree from California State University, Sacramento, in Business Administration.

I am active in the Mather Heights Elementary PTA, the Rancho Cordova Police Activities League (Jr. Giants t-ball coaching), Project 680 (an organization founded to assist FCUSD students in need of basic resources), my church and other community activities.

I currently live in Mather with my wife Meredith and two children, Tommy and Maddie.
