Experience

  • Sacramento County Policy Planning Commissioner (2006 + 2008) Read, evaluate and decide the merits, drawbacks, effects, and impact on proposed land use policy amendments and rezoning applications. Meet with planning staff, applicants and community members.
  • CAPITAL Foundation Board Member (2004 + present) Fund, develop and collaborate on programs, projects, and partnerships that strengthen diversity and education within the Asian Pacific Islander community and across communities.
  • Council of Asian Pacific Islanders Together for Advocacy and Leadership (CAPITAL), Media and Public Relations Chair (2004 + present) Identify issues and opportunities for the Asian Pacific Islander (API) community. Build and strengthen alliances and collaborations between the API community and other communities.
  • Pocket/Greenhaven Friends of the Library Board Member (2008 + current) Compile and preserve Pocket/Greenhaven Friends of the Library documents, images and memorabilia. Help raise funds to support Pocket/Greenhaven library activities.
  • South Pocket Homeowners' Association (SPHA) board member and Neighborhood Watch Captain (2008 + present) Liaison between neighbors and police, includes communicating public safety and neighborhood protection incidences and information to and from police. Help with SPHA organizing activities.
