I have been serving on the Planning Commission and in a variety of other areas in the community since moving here in 1997. As current Vice Mayor Diane Howard and Council member Jim Hartnett reached the limits of their terms, I believed it was time to use my community and professional experience, along with my core strengths, to step up to the plate and allow myself to be considered for leading our City into the future on the City Council. There are a number of key issues facing Redwood City in the near future and I believe my experience is uniquely suited to help lead on these issues.

What can you expect if I am elected to the Redwood City Council?

As a City Councilman you can expect me to...

...STAY FOCUSED on the issues that are important to our community and lead through distractions. As I have on the Planning Commission, I will stay the course, avoid distractions, and not waver in implementing our community's vision. I will ensure Redwood City's leadership stays focused on our community's priorities.

...WORK HARD engaging our community to develop the vision that will guide our future. I have an impeccable record in my 7+ years of service on the Planning Commission, engaging our community to develop the vision that will guide our future. I am committed to work tirelessly with you to lead Redwood City to realize that vision.

...DO MY HOMEWORK by analyzing input from a wide variety of stakeholders and sources, along with my business experience in finance, HR, admin, facilities, and project management, to make decisions ONLY after fully understanding the issues and the ramifications of my decisions.

...BUILD PARTNERSHIPS by bringing people together from a wide variety of interest groups, combining their gifts and strengths to deliver results much greater than could have been achieved apart. I will continue to lead, knowing that only TOGETHER can we truly build a better community.

...STAY IN TOUCH with our community through my connections with our elementary and high schools, our faith-based groups, youth sports, growing families, and seniors. I will stay in touch with all facets of our community; starting with an unprecedented level of door-to-door outreach during the campaign.

I look forward to working together in the future to lead our community as we stay focused on our PLAN, take the ACTION necessary to implement it, and achieve a RESULT that provides us all with the highest quality of life.
