This information is provided by the candidate

As an Appointed Incumbent on the Redwood City School Board I am asking for your continued support and your vote on November 3rd.

With children in the Redwood City School District since 1998 and one at Sequoia High School, I am committed to public education and the District's ability to meet the needs of all students. My duty as a Trustee is to ensure that our District continues on its course of academic advancement and excellence, despite what may be the most difficult financial time in its history.

I will carry on the work I have done over the past year and a half toward:

- increasing district test scores while closing the achievement gap
- retaining and recruiting qualified and excellent teachers
- advancing open and active communication between, parents, teachers and staff and the district
- meeting the needs of all of our diverse students whether gifted, multilingual or special needs
- district fiscal stability and responsibility

Over the last ten years I have worked both in the classroom and in the community to meet the needs of our students, and ask for your vote so I may continue to do so.

It has been an honor to serve as your school board member.

Hilary Paulson
