In the next few years, decisions will be made that will greatly impact our city and our future. Your views are important and you should have the opportunity to be engaged in these decisions. It has been an honor serving the people of Burlingame on the City Council. Burlingame is a quaint and close knit community that is ideal to live, work, and raise a family. I have been honored to serve as your Councilwoman and current Mayor and I am looking forward to the opportunity to serve for another four years.

As a thirty-two year resident of Burlingame, I care deeply about our city. I've been directly involved in our city government as a Planning Commissioner for seven years and a Council Member for four years. I have worked hard to ensure that Burlingame maintains its character and charm, so that our residents and businesses remain here.

During my four years on the City Council and current term as Mayor, I have worked with many of our residents and City leaders to tackle the biggest issues affecting our city and will continue to address these challenges. The following are just a few accomplishments:

  • Brought Safeway back to negotiations and helped develop a stakeholders group to establish a project that is economically feasible for Safeway and architecturally pleasing to the community.

  • Aggressively worked to facilitate the establishment of multiple new businesses on Broadway leading to an increase in revenue for the City and a broader variety for our residents.

  • Maintained financial responsibility and made sound spending decisions.

  • Engaged the citizens of Burlingame to build open government with dialogue and citizen participation in key issues impacting the city.

  • Developed a Volunteer Downtown Cleanup Group to do litter pick up and other various projects in order to beautify our downtown areas.

  • Worked with the Chamber of Commerce in establishing tours of our Broadway, Burlingame Avenue and Burlingame Plaza retail areas for our hotel concierges to encourage tourists to visit.

I am committed to our citizens, businesses and the city as a whole. I will continue to be a staunch advocate for you by putting our quality of life and our community's interests first.
