Council Member; City of Los Angeles; District 11

Born 1951 in Chinatown downtown LA. Raised in so central LA 1951 to 1969. Mostly Catholic schools, 3 yrs LAUSD elem school when these were the envy of the world!! St Bernard High 64 to 68 while living in the "ghetto"! So lucky to go to SBHS!! BA math CSUN 1973. Joined USMC 1973 to 77 also USMC 1981 82. 31 yrs service with City of LA/DWP. I worked for City Clerk, Transp dept, Bureau of Standards, Fleet svcx, Gen svcs, Street Maint, public Works, Sanitation dept and prob 10 other depts! I am not the "beginner" here! Politics? Every job has politics! Life is politics!! I am married to the same wonderful German girl from Hamburg since 1985. She is dual citizenship, US and German. My 2 kids age 21 and 17 are fluent in Spanish and German. My son took Japanese, Hebrew, Latin and 3 yrs French just for fun all by age 18!!! We rented a tiny house in the "bad" part of S Monica to get into Spanish immersion S monica schools!! Excellent schools in SM/Malibu dist!! In 7th gr my son learned science of the human body most doctors never learn!!7th grade!!!
