If elected I will put Jamiel's Law before the city council for a vote, Yes or No, not "Present". I will put Jamiel's Law before the voting public. I say no more backroom deals with Dubai developers or any developers. We have enough high rises for the rich and enough high rise slums for the poor. Density is not our destiny. Also I will not sacrifice my daughter or yours on the Altar of PC, political correctness. Enough children have died by gunfire of illegal alien gangsters and Legal gangsters, the offspring of illegal aliens, or the grandchildren of illegal aliens. Enough is enough! I do not want my house or your torn down to put up another donut shop or other business so City Hall can get more tax money. I do not support tearing down single family neighborhoods so Dubai developers can get rich. The City of LA and DWP own thousands of acres of land, just sitting there. The old Chatsworth Dam is not a dam anymore, but is a beautiful, Africa-like setting, many acres big, in the far west SF valley. Let the RVs park there. It is very easy to put in showers and water and electricity there . I worked for DWP since 1992, and still do work there. I know what I'm talking about. The Catholic Church also owns many acres of land. Let The city and churches work in concert to help those living in cars. My daughter goes to Santa Monica High and many of her classmates live in cars! This is not right! Another thing: Measure B on the ballot. They call it job creating"Solar/Green", sounds good, right? But the back room ,smoke filled room way it was sneaked onto the ballot is not right! The solar panels will be built in CHINA not the US!! My understanding is if passed, Measure B could cost ME and you the ratepayer $80. more per month on your Water and power bill!!! My Union endorses "B" but not me. Ibew endorses candidates and props and measures that I am 180 degrees opposed to. In fact since 1992 IBEW has never endorsed anything I agree with!. I have been paying IBEW thousands of dollars in dues and they do not speak for me! Measure B may cost X amt. They expect the voters to say YES on something that may cost $80 MORE per month on your DWP bill??!! What are they smoking.?! Would you sign a contract to buy a Prius BEFORE the price is given!? I say don't insult our intelligence! Vote NO on "B".
