I am a Captain at United Airlines, and have lived on the Coast since 1995. I have two children enrolled in the Cabrillo Unified School District.

Over the past four years, I have been engaged with the School Board in promoting our school district as the core , vital element in our community. I have served with the El Granada Elementary School PTA , and have coached youth football and girls softball. Currently I am the President of the CUSD Governing Board.

My vision for CUSD schools is one that integrates them into the fabric of all segments of our community. First, I will continue to work to build on the public trust that is being restored to the school board. Secondly, I would like to explore innovative mechanisms that would create new revenue streams from school facilities. Thirdly, I would attempt to work with private foundations, City and State governments in order to optimize assets that will promote and preserve our schools.

In recent years, our community has affirmed that our schools are an integral part of our community. There is a positive buzz in the air. We see good things happening. We are beginning to understand that selflessness and common cause are the foundations of a high performance District.

I will continue to be an advocate for our schools in all neighborhoods, and walks of life.

In your service,

John Moseley
