Member, Governing Board; South San Francisco Unified School District

The most important factor in education is the ability to provide quality educational opportunities to the student. This could entail the changing of focus of what educational needs are required for the future. Taking a hard look at vocational traing as well as college prep.

Secondly the parents need to know what the Board of Trustees are planning, why and how the plans will affect their children.

I want to and am willing to spend the time in the schools, with the PTSA, the teachers and the Board to bridge a two way street and let all of the parties know what each wants and expects and further advise what actions will be taken. I believe all parties should be treated in a positive manner, with respect for their positions and stature, with their ideas and ideals given 100% credence. This includes the taechers, students and parents.
