It is the job of the School Board to make sure we have the best people in Administrative jobs in the district.

The Board should have a broad vision of where they would like the District to be in the next several years, and hire the right people to make it happen.

The Board to inspire and encourage teachers to be leaders, decision makers, and owners of a shared vision. Without the teacher on board, no positive change can be made. Giving orders from the top will lead to confusion resentment, and a worship of the status quo.

To help teachers do this, they should have time to plan, and to collaborate. Each member of the education community needs to be on board, and ready to take a leadership roll. We need universal buy in.

This will include the Parent community as well. Parents must be partners with the schools. Schools cannot do this alone.

I know from my own experience that when teachers, parents and schools feel empowered, and have the best interest of the kids in mind, everyone wins.
