Robert Uy is a Staff Attorney at Asian Pacific Islander Legal Outreach, practicing immigration law, human trafficking law, domestic violence law, family law, and elder law. Robert is on the Board of Directors for the Pilipino Bayanihan Resource Center of Daly City and is an active member of the CORA Kumares and Kumpares. Robert currently writes a weekly column on public interest law for Ang Panahon (The Times) newspaper, which is circulated throughout the SF Bay Area. Robert is very active in the legal community. He is a member of the Asian American Bar Association, the American Immigration Lawyer's Association, the Filipino Bar Association of Northern California, and the California State Bar. Robert is currently a co-chair of the Asian American Bar Association's community services committee. He is a graduate of Santa Clara University School of Law and the University of California Los Angeles. . Robert Uy is a candidate that supports social justice, social welfare, education reform, inter-ethnic/interracial coalition building, and party unity. As a civil rights attorney, he has fought for the rights of immigrants and victims of physical abuse and crime. His passion is to help uplift individuals and the community as a whole through advocacy for both human and individual rights.
