I am running for the governing board of the Windsor Unified School District because I want to contribute to the community that I care about. I have been a resident of Windsor for 16 years. When I moved to this town I had the opportunity to attend Windsor Middle School and I have been an active member of the community since.

I earned a degree in Economics from Sonoma State University where I focused my education on the running of both private and public institutions, and how to utilize resources at their most efficient levels. Because of this education, I possess skills that can heighten school performance and financing.

As a member of our school board I would use my skills to structure a more dynamic budget that would keep educational programs funded and help protect the district operations from the risk of budget cuts. I would also like to create self-funded programs that expand the educational development of students without relying on wavering funds for their existence. I can help make our school district the best in the state, and financially secure the future of the students of Windsor. I look forward to your vote this November.

Me postulo para el consejo de gobierno del Distrito Escolar Unificado de Windsor porque quiero aportar a la comunidad por la cual me preocupo. Por 16 años, he sido residente de Windsor. Cuando me mudé a este pueblo, tuve la oportunidad de asistir a la Escuela Intermedia de Windsor y he sido integrante activo de la comunidad desde entonces.

Obtuve un diploma en Economía de la Universidad Estatal de Sonoma, en la cual enfoqué mi preparación académica en la administración de instituciones privadas y públicas, y en cómo utilizar recursos en sus niveles más eficientes. Como consecuencia de esta preparación, tengo habilidades que pueden mejorar el desempeño escolar y las finanzas.

Como miembro de nuestro consejo escolar, usaría mis habilidades para formar un presupuesto más dinámico que continuaría proveyendo de fondos a los programas educativos y ayudaría a proteger las operaciones del distrito contra el riesgo de recortes presupuestarios. También me gustaría establecer programas que cuenten con sus propios fondos y que amplíen el desarrollo educativo de los alumnos sin que su existencia dependiera de fondos fluctuantes. Yo puedo ayudar a hacer que nuestro distrito escolar sea el mejor del estado y que el futuro de los alumnos de Windsor sea fiscalmente seguro. Espero con ansias obtener su voto en noviembre de este año.
