At my website I have a few of my ideas, some artwork and a campaign page. That is at http://www.kathryngerwig.com. Here is a brief outline of my background and ideas:

I grew up in California, experiencing some of the major movements of our era. I was in LA during the Watts riots, in San Francisco in the summer of '67.

The 70's was taken up with my college education and raising my three children. Then in business while based in Sacramento during the 80's. The 90's had me living on disability, and having to experience the hardships that comes with that income level and physical hardship. I had to return to college to finish my senior year, which meant completing all the new catalogue pre-requisites.

It was during this time that I became actively involved in the Democratic Party, through the organization of the students on the college campus', the local activist organizations and of course the Sacramento County Democratic Central Committee. I have been an elected member since 1998 after being an Associate member since 1995. I would like to continue with my membership and involvement in the political process. We need good Democratic representatives in all levels of the political arena, and I would like to actively work to get them there.
