Here are merely a few views I feel strongly about:

  • My political background was demonstrating against the war in the late 60's and early 70's. While my brothers were fighting and dying for a war that we should not have been in, I was working to get them home I was also working for the rights of women, as I continue to do now.

  • During the 80's I worked for my uncle and had the experience of not making any political comment, while coming in contact with very political personalities. I met them as "people" not political differences. I learned a few things that make up "politics as usual" and I do hope that it can change for the better. They may be very nice people, but ideas that are voted on effect others and our planet, personalities take the back seat to issues.

  • There is certainly a "glass ceiling" that needs to be broken. I find this "ceiling" in the most inappropriate places, and that should change. I don't believe that a person's physical attributes, or hormones dictate their work or philosophical qualities.

  • Guns are dangerous. As is any deadly weapon. (A vehicle is included in that genre.) I do not believe that an AK47 or an automatic weapon is good for anything but killing people. They should be outlawed.

  • When a person gets behind the wheel of a car, after drinking, they are expressing their intent of callousness for life. Whether that of a human being or that of a family pet that runs into the street. The intentional killing of a human being is murder. Drunk driving is murder, and should be prosecuted as such. How can anyone believe that if they hit a living thing with a vehicle they will not do major physical damage?

  • Until we can re-use the spent nuclear waste, or destroy the radio activity of such, then nuclear power is hazardous to our health for too long of a time to sanction it's use.
