Candidate Statement MARK LEYES for Orange County Republican Party Central Committee, 68th Assembly District

As a conservative Republican and former Orange County Co-Chair for Rescue California - Recall Gray Davis, I'd be honored to receive your vote.

In the Central Committee, I'll work to re-elect Governor Schwarzenegger, elect Tom McClintock to Lt. Governor and Republican candidates to all the state offices to improve our economy and create new jobs.

I'm an Orange County native. My wife, Wanda, and I are active in our church and community. My experience includes 16 years of service as an elected City Council member. I'm a member of the Chamber of Commerce and have served as a member of the Orange County Council for the Boy Scouts of America.

I hope you will support me because of my strong stance against the car tax and against the bill giving drivers licenses to illegal immigrants.

I will support conservative candidates who will work to reduce waste in government and balance the state budget.

I will support Republican candidates who share my commitment to local law enforcement and improving neighborhood schools. Taxpayers deserve representatives who we can trust to oppose tax increases.

Politics is dominated by trial lawyers, labor unions and other special interests who look out for no one but themselves. We deserve representatives who will represent you - not a group or special interest.

Thank you, and I hope I can count on your vote.
