The following are attributes, we the incumbents, believe are vital in delivering sewer, water and trash services to the Moss Beach and Montara residents:

Highlight of Major Accomplished Projects (what we've already done)

  • Sewer System Capital Improvement plan
  • 3 Sewer main line replacement projects
  • Electronic inspections of all sewer main lines
  • 3 year project to clean all main lines
  • Replaced emergency generator at the California Pump Station to improve reliability
  • 460,000 gallon wet weather storage tank to prevent overflows during storm surges
  • Odor control project at Portola pump station
  • Sewer plant intertie junction improvement project
  • Alta Vista Raw water line repair
  • Alta Vista Water treatment plant repair
  • Drilling and certification of new Alta Vista well that will add 150 gallons per minute
  • Water System Master
  • Implemented an appliance rebate program to assist home in reducing water consumption
  • 10 Pipeline replacement projects
  • Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for
    -- 1 million Gallon storage tank at Alta Vista
    -- New 200,000 gal tank to replace 100,000 gal. Schoolhouse tank
    -- Centralized water treatment systems for all 3 airport wells

  • Update Date Hart pump station
  • Pipe line replacements for Howells street, 7th street, Airport force main and Highway 1
  • Complete feasibility evaluation to implement re-cycled water program
  • Wagner well improvements to restore wells capacity to 80 gpm (gallons per minute)
  • Complete regulatory requirements to bring Alta Vista, 150 gpm, well into production
  • Complete design and implement treatment system to increase productivity of existing surface water sources
  • Mechanical Systems Repair & Replacement
  • Water meter replacement
  • Water Treatment system at Airport
  • Complete 2 additional test wells
  • Replace outdated fire Hydrants and outdate pressure reducing valves
  • Water main replacement
