Because I believe that all our children deserve a high quality education that prepares them to become productive members of society, here are some of my specific goals for the RWC School District:

Decrease the achievement gap between English Language Learners and native English Speakers

Ensure good communication between the district and parents and community members

Continue the partnership with the Redwood City Education Foundation to fund enrichment programs, like music and art in the District

Find creative ways to bring physical education back to every school in the district

Strengthen partnerships with the City of Redwood City and Redwood City 2020 to continue to support and expand community schools and strong after-school programs

Provide budget information that is understandable so that we can make sound fiscal decisions

Make schools available to the community after the school day ends and on weekends
