Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Lorene Lederer

Candidate for
Board Member; San Carlos School District

This information is provided by the candidate

My reasons for seeking a seat on the San Carlos School Board are simple. I want each and every child in our community to become the finest person he or she can be and I believe this is best accomplished by providing a strong public education.

If elected, I am committed to challenging the status quo and driving change when necessary. At the foundation of all inquiries is the commitment to the students of our district and respect for our teachers, administrators, parents, and community. I will work collaboratively with fellow Board members to provide leadership and vision that arises from an understanding of our students, our district, and our community.

I will work to strengthen public trust through sound financial management, accountability, tranparency and through open and regular communications with the community. In this manner, the board can become a stonger advocate for our schools at the local level of government and within our community.

As a parent of two sons at Central Middle School who has worked to bring about improvements, I see our potential and will work diligently to bring the best educational opportunities to the students of San Carlos.
