I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts and am the principal owner of ZymaX envirotechnology, inc., an environmental testing laboratory and forensic geochemistry consulting firm with 70 employees.

I was elected to the San Luis Coastal Unified School District School Board in 1994.

I was among a small group of activist parents that founded Bellevue-Santa Fe Charter School.

I subsequently served on Pismo Beach City Planning Commission.

I have been a member of various civic committees such as the San Luis Obispo County Commission of the Status of Women and the City of San Luis Obispo Committee on Public Art.

I was appointed by Peg Pinard to the San Luis Obispo County Planning Commission in January 2004.

I lived outside of the United States 25 years and competent in four languages.

I moved to Shell Beach in 1990 with my husband of 30 years. We have two children living in San Luis Obispo, one who attended Stanford University and the other presently enrolled at Cal Poly.
