My political philosophy is middle of the road. I am a social progressive and a fiscal conservative. My record in public service demonstrates a balanced position between environmental concerns and property rights. For the community as a whole to prosper, we must look at the big picture and long-range impacts of our decisions.

My governing style: Keep an open mind, weigh all testimony, real all materials, ask questions, work to achieve consensus, constantly strive for win-win solutions, and help all parties achieve goals without infringing on the rights of others, while respecting the environment.
