Why did I decide to run for election to Irvine water district?

By Annie Yang-McNally

Candidate for Board Member; Irvine Ranch Water District

This information is provided by the candidate
1. We are very grateful for what the U.S. has offered us and I want to contribute my services back to the communities.
2. I want to be the voice for ratepayers.
There are two main reasons why I decided to run for IRWD's director:

1. My husband and I emigrated to the United Stated from Ireland in 1994. We bought our first home in Irvine in 1998 and peaceful Irvine has been our home ever since. We are very grateful for what this country has offered us and we want to contribute our services back to the communities. My technical training and experience makes me well suited to serve on the board of directors of Irvine Ranch Water District.

2. The current composition of the Irvine Waterboard is not a balanced representation of disinterested ratepayers. Sending me to the IRWD Board would be just one voice for the ratepayers out of the five-member board; nonetheless, it is one voice more.
