Lyle Eickert graduated from the University of San Francisco with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Philosophy and minor degrees in Mathematics, Political Science and English. He earned Teaching and Administrative Credentials and a Masters Degree in Counseling and Guidance. Following service in the U.S. Army, including the Korean War, Lyle was a teacher and then the Director of Finance and Personnel Services in the San Francisco Unified School District. Lyle served as the Assistant Superintendent of Business Services for the Sacramento County Office of Education and as the Deputy Superintendent of Business Services for the Sacramento City Unified School District.


Lyle is currently serving in his sixth year on the Buckeye Union School Disdtrict Board of Trustees. He was appointed to the Board in 1998 after having been selected from a slate of five candidates and was elected to the Board in November 2000. Since becoming a Board Member, Lyle has completed the Masters in Governance Program presented by the California School Boards Association and has been elected as a regional delegate to the state CSBA Delegate Assembly. He is also the Buckeye District representative to the El Dorado County School Boards Association and the El Dorado County Committee on School District Reorganization.


Lyle and his wife, Marie, have lived in El Dorado Hills for 18 years. The Eickert's daughter, Lisa Sutton, son in-law Scot Sutton and their three children, Haley, Wesley and Parker live in Cameron Park and all of the children attend Blue Oak Elementary School.
