COMMITMENT TO EXCELLENCE

I am running for re-election to the Buckeye Union School District Board of Trustees because I am strongly committed to public education. Providing educational leadership is a challenging job and I believe that my skills, experience and dedication will continue to enhance and improve our school district.

During my six year tenure on the Buckeye School board, all of the district's schools have been recognized in state-wide testing as high achieving schools. Blue Oak Elementary and Rolling Hills Middle Schools have been awarded special recognition as National Blue Ribbon Schools. We have opened one new school, Oak Meadow, and are planning for the construction of two more schools. Significant modernization, renovation and expansion projects have taken place throughout the district. All schools are equipped with computers, a computer lab and are internet accessible. The district's finances are extremely well managed and the annual budget maintains required reserves for emergencies.

I BELIEVE . . . .

  • As community representative, boards of education are accountable to the public for the performance of the community schools.

  • That everyone in our educational community has the right to be treated with courtesy and respect.

  • That excellent schools enhance the entire community.

  • That a successful educational program is the result of teamwork involving the entire community, students, staff and board members.

  • That board members and staff should be committed to working with parents to provide an educational program where each student can be successful.

  • That all children are entitled to attend schools that are safe, attractive and free of prejudice.

  • That all district employees should be proud of their profession and be aware of the important role model they provide to our students and the community.

I WOULD TRULY APPRECIATE YOUR VOTE ON NOVEMBER 2nd. I WILL CONTINUE TO USE ALL OF MY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE TO MAKE OUR SCHOOLS THE BEST THEY CAN BE.

    Thank You.
