• Dedicated as a Democrat to responsible and responsive representation and assistance when needed for all citizens of all ages, races, gender, sexual orientation, political persuasions, religious convictions or lack of any, and national origins to the end that the general welfare is promoted and the common defense is provided.
• Meaningful, honest, and free and complete discussion of issues and programs by all political candidates for public office resulting in honest and representative elections is essential to accomplish these noble ends.
• Adequate quality health care, full employment, adequate housing and shelter, full civil rights and liberties, protection from foreign and domestic enemies, access to quality education commensurate with individual needs and desires, unfettered practice or non-practice of religion to satisfy spiritual needs, a safe and healthy environment and food supply, and opportunities to be of service to other community members without restrictions based on economic wealth are all necessary parts of a society that treasures individuality and a full and happy life for all its members.
• Political practices must be designed to provide the opportunity to accomplish these needs and goals.
• Labels as a political liberal, moderate, or conservative are useful only if they also promote or do not hinder the accomplishment of these goals and needs.
