Over the past four years, working together as your councilperson we've been able to accomplish a number of amazing things. Just look around and you can see the positive changes:

Completed construction of a new seismically sound Police station and emergency communication center; established a 24-hour paramedic program and the North County Fire Authority in our Fire Department; saved senior housing by facilitating purchase of Ocean View apartments; maintained programs for Seniors and Youths

Obtained funding for and started construction of a community based re-birth of the Linda Mar State Beach with new restrooms, wetlands, parking, circulation improvements and native plant restoration; completed a new environmentally sensitive sewage treatment plant and wetlands restoration project; created the Quarry, Rockaway Beach and Linda Mar Paths, important links in our newly developing coastal trail

Started work on the San Pedro Creek Flood Control Project; obtained millions of dollars of State and Federal funding for local projects; initiated citywide road paving project; increased City's emergency reserves by 85%; encouraged high quality commercial development; supported funding of Friendship Park, the Skatepark and renovations of other youth serving facilities

I believe that by working together with positive leadership and common purpose we can continue to develop a community centered around the protection of the City's tremendous natural beauty and the development of appropriate, consensus based, revenue generating alternatives to help support our social, public safety and governmental services.

I hope you will allow me to continue to serve you - as your City Councilperson. I want to continue to work for you in developing our new future for Pacifica. On November 5, I hope you will vote to re-elect Jim Vreeland. VOTE VREELAND.

/s/ J. M. Vreeland Jr.
