ANTOINETTE "TONI" STEIN Age: 41

Occupation: Environmental Engineer

Education and Qualifications:

Education: PhD. Environmental Engineering, University of Cincinnati

Experience: Menlo Park Planning Commission, San Mateo County Congestion Management and Air Quality Commission, San Mateo County Solid Waste Advisory Commission.

I have been a Menlo Park homeowner for seven years and love being a part of this vibrant, progressive community. I am a wife and a mother to two preschool children.

As a Planning Commissioner I have worked hard to protect neighborhoods. I welcome thoughtful development that complements Menlo Park's high standards and enhances our quality of life. I have advocated changes to residential review to make it fair for all homeowners. I will continue to promote fast approvals for all low impact, residential construction.

I support reducing traffic congestion by promoting feasible transit programs for commuters and by continuing Menlo Park's participation in regional transportation planning.

I will continue to work hard to invest wisely in Menlo Park's community facilities, particularly those that serve our children and teens.

I will work to create practical solutions to complex problems and listen to citizen input to achieve balanced outcomes.

My children remind me of the value of clean air and open space, and how important quality of life issues are to all of us in Menlo Park.

I welcome your support.

/s/ Antoinette "Toni" Stein
