NANCY SERRURIER

Occupation: Incumbent

Education and Qualifications:

We are fortunate to live in a community which highly values public education. As a board member, I avidly support the District's ongoing efforts to continuously improve teaching and learning, provide an excellent, well-rounded education, and challenge and support each student.

This means attracting and retaining the finest teachers, providing opportunities for professional collaboration and growth, along with competitive compensation. This means offering students a rigorous and exciting academic program, coupled with meaningful experiences in music, fine arts and physical education. This means strengthening school communities which value and respect every student, teacher, parent and staff member while holding each to high standards. This means being fiscally accountable and insuring resources are used wisely.

I am proud of the District's growth in each of these areas, but know that improvement is a continuous challenge from my experience as a School Board member and current President, Menlo Park - Atherton Education Foundation board member and past President, 1995 Bond Campaign Co-Chairperson and classroom volunteer. I look forward to using this experience to benefit all children.

/s/ Nancy Serrurier
