Keeping progress going!

By Maggie Gomez

Candidate for City Council; City of Daly City

This information is provided by the candidate
Building on success.
I have been told that it is somewhat unusual for a candidate not to criticize current office holders for doing a "bad" job. I simply cannot do that. The current council has improved nearly every part of this city and continues to move forward. This council took a leadership role in passing legislation to protect our privacy from banks and financial insititutions who would sell our personal information and accomplished too many positive goals to mention in this small space.

I seek to be elected to the open seat on the council and aid the current members in their work of improving and protecting our community.

Our senior and youth services must be kept strong and we must plan, with vision and intelligence for added growth and the demands of the future.

When elected, I will work tirelessly to accomplish these goals. And, I will work tirelessly to make sure that you are represented fairly, that each neighborhood is considered in all decisions, and that you enjoy quality services and strong, representative government TODAY.

I will consider the needs of our seniors who had such a positive impact on building this city and our youth who will be responsible for it in the future.
