Board Member; South San Francisco Unified School District; 4 Year Term

This is a copy of information submitted to elections officials by the candidate

ROMOLO (ROM) BRASCHI

Occupation: Incumbent

Education and Qualifications:

Implementing our school system's agenda is a complicated responsibility needing school board members with experience, training and public involvement. I am proud of my record and respectfully ask for your continued support. I earned a MBA from the distinguished California School Boards Association.

As a retired teacher and principal for the South San Francisco Unified School District, I have experience with issues faced by teachers every day.

I currently serve on the boards of many organizations such as the County School Board Association, the South San Francisco Boys and Girls Club, the San Mateo County Retired Teachers Association, and the South San Francisco Historical Society. I am a member of South San Francisco Unidos, IACC and YMI.

Setting expectations for student learning is a crucial responsibility for school board members. I am proud to state that our curriculum has been aligned with state standards. The results are proven. Test scores are up! Last year, 13 of 16 South San Francisco Unified School District schools met or exceeded their state growth targets.

As the modernization projects at our schools are nearing completion, we have received additional funds from the FAA to further enhance the physical conditions of our schools.

Thank you for allowing me to serve as your school board trustee. Vote Rom Braschi on November 5th. rombraschi@aol.com
