Julie's Statement

By Julie Tacker

Candidate for Director; Los Osos Community Services District

This information is provided by the candidate
Introduction
I believe that one person can make a difference, and that now it's my turn. I have lived in Los Osos for nearly all of my life.  My husband, Tom, and I have been property owners for 16 years. My background is in Recreation, Activities and Physical Education. Now that we are raising three children, I am the "Director of Activities" at the Tacker home. I have a strong sense of community, and have coordinated several benefit efforts for needy families: The Friends of Jim Kunkel, in 1993, the Josh Sanders Benefit in 2000 and this year the "Spaghetti for Letty" Benefit. I volunteer my time as a parent and as an artist at Baywood Elementary School.  And for the past three years I have served as Vice President of Hospitality for the PTA. This year I will serve as Membership Vice President. Last year I was the Baywood Elementary School Site Council Chairwoman and I served for a third year on the board. Currently, I am the Executor of two family estates, including The Lindemans Windmill. This management experience has reinforced my belief in fiscal responsibility. I believe that honesty, integrity, and loyalty to ones constituency begins before one is elected. I am faithful to Los Osos and Baywood Park, and will remain so before and after any election. Los Osos is my home.  Los Osos and Baywood Park residents are my family.

Thank you for your vote.
