Personal: I am happily married with two sons. My oldest son is a freshman at Fresno State and is hoping to walk on the soccer team. My youngest son is in first grade and has a tremendous amount of ethusiasm for school. They both bring great joy into our lives.

Career: I will bring to the Auditor-Controller's office a unique set of work experiences that make me the most qualified candidate. I have both County government experience, as well as public accounting and private company experience as an auditor and controller.

County Government:

  • District Attorney's Office - Accountant
  • Auditor-Controller's Office - Internal Auditor
  • Auditor-Controller's Office - Division Chief, General Accounting
  • Information Systems Department - Business Manager
  • County Administrative Office - Senior Analyst

At the County, I was responsible for preparing budgets, supervising staff, providing expert accounting and financial services to staff and elected officials, and working with industry to improve County services.

Public & Private Accounting:

  • Managed Audits
  • Team member for forensic accounting projects such as: Business loss valuations/ Fraud investigations/ Litigation support services
  • Controller for a fruit packing company
  • Business advisory services - helping companies grow their business through strategic planning and implementing financial reporting models

Education:

California State University, Bakersfield - Bachelors in Business Administration, concentration in Accounting

California State University, Fresno - Masters in Business Administration - Received the Dean's Medal for leading the Sid Craig School of Business MBA Consulting Team through the first consulting project, which resulted in a significant contribution to the school.
