I grew up in South San Francisco. My childhood memories are of hard working people, who lent a hand to each other, raised their kids in safe neighborhoods, enjoyed the parks, and were proud to be from "South City". Many families realized their dreams here, and lived to see their children benefit from growing up in this city. Maybe that's why I feel so strongly about preserving and improving our neighborhoods ... why I believe them to be the strength and backbone of our community.

During the last five years as a Planning Commissioner I have had the opportunity to learn more closely about our city's strengths, as well as evaluate the areas where we need to improve. I have listened to the voices and concerns of our residents and businesses, and have based my votes on what I believed would preserve the best of our past, while enhancing the future economic and social well being of the entire community.

I have been a strong advocate for the protection, preservation, and enhancement of our neighborhoods. I have publicly fought against projects that I, and other responsible citizens, believed to be inadequately planned. MY PUBLIC RECORD WILL SUPPORT THESE STATEMENTS.

I am also committed to

  • Public Safety, Excellent Police, Fire and Paramedic services.
  • Parks, Creating useable recreation opportunities.
  • Airport/Residential Noise Compatibility, A family tradition.
  • User Friendly access to City Hall.
  • Intelligent future planning, relieving gridlock and promoting economic vitality.
  • Sensitivity to Diversity.

As a South San Francisco Planning Commissioner, I have consistently fought to protect neighborhood interests. As your councilman, I pledge to continue fighting on your behalf.

I ask you to consider me for one of your three votes on November 6
