QUALITY OF LIFE

By Karyl Matsumoto

Candidate for Councilmember; City of South San Francisco

This information is provided by the candidate
We have spent millions of dollars re-investing in the City's infrastructure by repairing roads and seweres, upgrading our water treatment plant, enhancing the entrances to the City and parklands. We have converted vacant weed-covered lots into green spots throughout the City.
Maintaining high quality city services, preserving the integrity of our neighborhoods, and enhancing the sense of community are of the utmost importance to me. Some of the ideas I brought to the City include the Farmers' Market, the landscaped sculpulture garden, the citywide garage sale and a stronger tree preservation ordinance. I will continue to work for the insulation of more homes along the flight path; additional public art; increased open space and strong code enforcement.
