This information is provided by the candidate

The MidCoast has been my home since 1980. My family returned to the Penninsula in the year after the Giants moved to San Francisco (1958): I graduated from Burlingame High School, and from the University of California Davis- earning a degree in Civil Engineering. I have lived in Moss Beach, El Granada, and currently live in town.

My two sons were raised in El Granada, educated at our local schools and are now married, working, and taxpayers. Jeff & Brad have graced us with FIVE grandchildren, with another blessed event on the horizon - spring '02.

I have worked as an Design Engineer, Construction Inspector, Construction Manager, and am now Resident Engineer for various projects at SFO.

I am a Certified Mediator in California, and have a wide background in dispute resolution & problem solving in the fields of engineering, construction & insurance claims: using the skills of Arbitration, Mediation, and Negotiation. I also volunteer for several community mediation groups - notably the Peninsula Conflict Resolution Center, the County Mediation Program, and the County Small Claims Court.

I am an original elected member of the MidCoast Community Council and served the Community for two terms, having been active in all the major committees: Park & Rec, Streets, Traffic, Planning, Facilities, Finance-including treasurer, and I was Chair the year Devil's Slide slid.

Currently I am a board member of MidCoast ParkLands - MPL, a local non-profit that maintains and operates Quarry Park in El Granada - currently I serve as treasurer.

I have served the City as the MidCoast Council liaison for the PAC of the General Plan Revision; I am a member of the Tree Committee, and currently sit as the Chair of the Library Task Force - a joint effort between the City & County.

I been a regular attendee at a wide variety of local meetings: Coastside County Water District, HMB City Council & Planning Commission, MidCoast Council, Granada Sanitary District, Cabrillo School District, Save Our Shores & MidPen Regional Open Space District, - in most instances, as the MidCoast Television- MCTV- Producer-Director for the particular event.

I believe in MCTV: Public Access to our decision makers is the cornerstone of our democracy.
