I believe that sound government starts at the local level.

Municipal government impacts nearly every aspect of our daily lives. Its emergency services protect our families and our property and provides services for our youth and seniors as well as recreational opportunities for the entire community.

Good municipal government will have a properly balanced mix of commercial and residential properties to ensure a solid financial base. It provides our water, garbage and cable service, maintains our streets and parks, respects the environment and is the source of the quality-of-life necessities that we depend.

The investments in our homes are protected by sound local government because a well-run city has safe, attractive neighborhoods, dependable services and a convenient, vital retail and commercial district - the things that make a city desirable.

Those elected to Council positions are entrusted with the job of making sure that every decision is made only after all of the factors above have been carefully considered in order to achieve these goals.
