I believe we must all work together to solve our common problems. I have a proven track record of being able to bring together diverse groups, with competing interests and find common ground.

This is going to require leadership that LISTENS, is EXPERIENCED and proven, and has a reputation for achieving results for our community.

I have served this community for 22 years at UCSB as Assistant Chancellor, helping to develop the school into one of the world's most prestiguous universities.

I have worked as president of the Santa Barbara Downtown Organization to bring the business, arts and environmental communities together to better serve ALL of our residents.

We have a lot to be proud of in Santa Barbara. I have lived here for over 50 years, raised a family here and I am devoted to protecting our cultural beauty and quality of life.
