This information is provided by the candidate

I am a Native Californian, born in San Diego. With the exception of four years living in Calgary, Alberta, I have lived in California for all of my 37 years. I understand the needs of the State. My wife of seventeen years, Lisa, and I are ten-year residents of Santa Clarita. We have watched our Valley grow, and become more prosperous. We are raising our three children, ages 10, 6 and 3, in what we believe to be the best city in Sounthern California.

We intend to stay here for the rest of our lives, and hopefully watch grandchildren grow up here, as well. In order for that to happen, we understand that many important issues need attention. Water and growth are two issues that are intertwined, and need to addressed.

I want to serve on the Water Board, so that fresh new ideas can be brought out. I am also determined to make developers be accountable for future needs that their developments bring. Growth is good, but not at the expense of our children.

I also am concerned about the quality of our ground water, and plan to make that a top priority. The City of Santa Clarita uses reclaimed water for many landscaped areas in the city, and this is commendable. I believe people need to be made more aware of this fact, and that more effort needs to be put in to using reclaimed water in other areas as well.
