Working together We can Revitalize our Community

1. EMPOWERING THE COMMUNITY

  • Improving the Communication between Residents, Businesses, Churches and Community Organizations.

  • Welcome Participation of all organizations and community members in the future planning of the district.

  • Ensuring Accountability of the City Council by making available the minutes of the council meetings to all.

2. IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF EDUCATION IN NORTH SACRAMENTO
  • Working with School Board members who are striving to make positive changes and support movements to replace those who aren't.

  • Supporting school Administrators by lobbying at state and federal levels to allow for greater control of our schools locally.

  • Promoting a pay structure for Teachers that rewards them for their success and holds them accountable for their failure.

  • Honoring Parents who are involved in their children's schools.

  • Helping Students take the first step to learning by enforcing truancy laws that will ensure they are attending school.

3. BUILDING QUALITY COMMUNITES

  • Creating Substantive Economic Development with Del Paso Heights as the new Gateway to McClellan and work with local agencies to plan the proper use of resources.

  • Developing Proper Community Planning by bringing together builders, developers and community leaders.

  • Meeting Basic Infrastructure Needs like street lights sidewalks and making these a priority, not a luxury.

4. MAKING SAFER NEIGHBORHOODS

  • Aggressive promotion of Community Involvement through programs like Neighborhood Watch.

  • Ensuring our Children are safe through "Adopt a Park" and Adopt a School" programs.

  • Increasing the use of Community Policing to form a neighborly bond with Law Enforcement.
