Craig DeLuz is 30 years old and is originally from Richmond, California. After graduating from high school, Craig attended California State University, Chico where he served as Student Government President and graduated with a degree in business finance in 1992. Craig currently serves as President and C.E.O. of DeLuz Steel Corporation.

Craig's professional career has been diverse, yet focused on helping people and businesses get ahead. After graduating from CSU, Chico he went to work for Norwest Financial as a Credit Manager. While in this position, he was responsible for many branch services including financial analysis, loan processing, collections, sales and customer service. Craig's financial background was further expanded as an Assistant Manager with Long Beach Bank. As the individual who was responsible for the residential lending operations in the Sacramento area, Craig's primary responsibilities included lead generation as well as regulation of loan underwriting process, as well as supervision and training of sales and administrative staff. Craig's professional career has provided valuable lessons about the challenges facing hard working people, and businesses trying to do the right thing, but which careless government bureaucracy hampers.

Craig's experience in politics and in the community is equally as diverse. Craig has served many non-profit organizations # both as paid executive staff and as an unpaid volunteer. As a candidate for Sacramento County Supervisor in 1998 and as Chairman of the South Sacramento Community Planning Advisory Council he has come to understand local community issues, such as balancing commercial development and protecting the quality of our community. Craig realizes that the youth of our community are a neglected resource, and served as Vice President of Corporate Affairs for The Legends, Kids First and a Board member of The Coalition to Improve Education, to further a "kids first" agenda. Further, he serves on the Board of Directors for Christian Enterprises and is a Sunday School teacher and volunteer to promote positive Judeo-Christian values. Craig's other organizational affiliations include Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc., LEAD Leadership Training, The Sacramento Community Coalition, Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship, Sacramento Economic Empowerment Congress and CSU, Chico Minority Business Program.
