Role of the District

We need a more district more responsive to parents, community, and teachers.

There needs to be MUCH more outreach, to all communities, to be more welcoming to all students. The district must make sure that curriculum, programs, and policies, not only educate students but offer them a chance to achieve their own, personal, highest and best potential.

Too often the district indicates that some children are "other," they're a group apart. We need to make this district a family, with a sense of "we're all in this together" and here, in this district, everyone helps everyone.

You get only one chance to educate a child. From technology to climate to politics, each day brings changes to the world our students are graduating into. Yesterday was too late to have the best possible education, resources, and facilities, in place for all our children, for all our students.
