Candidate for
Board Member; Oak Park Unified School District

It is my core belief that every child in our community is entitled to a quality education within an enriching environment that champions their strengths, affords diverse learning experiences, and creates opportunities for success. My experiences serving on the Oak Park MAC afforded me ample opportunity to work collaboratively with the school district. Projects addressed included safety, traffic, and countless community initiatives, such as the creation of our community website http://www.OakParkNow.com and a historical book about Oak Park. As the current Vice-Chairman of the Oak Park Recreation and Park Committee, I have worked with the school district to address issues that flow between the two entities. Over the years I have found much joy and satisfaction in working for the betterment of our community; I believe the opportunity to serve on the Board of the Oak Park Unified School District will bring great value to those we serve. With two children beginning their academic experience within the district, I am more committed than ever to help ensure that they, and all of our children, receive a quality public education coupled with a genuine and positive social experience.
