Common Core [CC] is an education program coming down from the Obama administration, preparing the way for Obama's "Race to the Top Assessments" taking place this year using computer software to test the minds of our children on CC. Common Core is a deceptive Trojan Horse, a national program written by a national cartel, supported by president Obama and the Federal Department of Education. It is imposing national standards and curriculum on all of the 46 states that have signed on to it. It is a dumbing down of education and should be rejected because:

• No vote of Congress approved of it
• It was taken straight to the governors and state education boards to be enticed with money to sign up to receive grants, with "strings" attached
• No vote by State Legislatures was taken
• No vote or voice of the People. Most Americans know nothing about it
• Waivers to get out of CC are so rigid that they are impossible to reach
• The government threatened to withhold Title One grant money for not participating
• California is stuck with a bill estimated to cost 1.6 billion dollars because California did not win the federal government grant
• National education is contrary to States Rights and the US Constitution
• Parents and local school boards are to be in charge of education
• States that adopt CC MUST accept it word for word
• Common Core has been described as a "race to the middle" program designed to prepare students for a nonselective two-year college not a four-year university
• Teachers know CC is very, very bad but cannot go against because of fear of losing their jobs. IT'S UP TO PARENTS AND CONCERNED CITIZENS TO GET INFORMED AND INVOLVED!
