Questions & Answers

1. How would you prioritize the fiscal choices the Legislature must make to align the state’s income and spending?

Top priority is what creates and secures jobs and businesses and what builds up the economy.

2. Given our current drought condition, concern for water rights and usage is an important issue. What solutions would you support to address our water problems?

Proper allocation of resources through negotiating with the appropriate jurisdictions and getting input on the voters as to what they are willing to let government do, rationing or otherwise

3. California high school students rank lower than many states in student performance. What do you see as the ongoing role of the Legislature in addressing this problem?

Giving students an opportunity to learn at their own pace. It has been one size fits all for too long, because one size does not fit all.

4. What other major issues do you think the Legislature must address? What are your own priorities?

Focus on job creation and business development. My focus is sharp and clear.
